This trip incorporates the best places of three of the most popular sightseeing places in Nepal, namely; Kathmandu, Nagarkot & Dhulikhel. This adventure takes you to some exotic sites in Kathmandu like Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath Stupa & Swyambhunath. From Swyambhunath, you get an amazing 360 degree view of the entire Kathmandu Valley. This brief journey to the religious sites gives you an insight into the religious aspects of Nepal. Apart from getting a glimpse of Kathmandu’s highlights, you also get to bask in the splendors of cultural traditional richness of Bhaktapur & Patan.
Thereafter, we will go to Nagarkot. Here you get to see the most fascinating & mesmerizing view of the Sunrise & Sunset. Not only the sunrise view that entices travelers at Nagarkot; the widespread Himalayas from Annapurna to Everest with Langtang, Manaslu & Ganesh Himal in between - Nagarkot is the best destination around Kathmandu Valley for Himalayan Panorama. After Nagarkot, Dhulikhel is your next destination. Treading along the unexplored trails of Dhulikhel can achieve a very exhilarating & enriching experience.

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m)

After landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Adventure Ascent representative will be there to greet you and take you to the hotel. We will then check-in at the hotel, freshen up and take a rest. Welcome dinner will be hosted in the evening. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Sightseeing Tour - Boudhanath, Pashupatinath & Bhaktapur, transfer to Nagarkot

We begin our sightseeing tour with a visit to Boudhanath - the largest Stupa in Nepal & centre of Tibetan culture within Kathmandu. The Stupa is designed like a giant mandala (a representation of the Buddhist cosmos). Our next destination is Pashupatinath Temple. Pashupatinath is dedicated to Hindu deity Lord Shiva & is regarded as the most sacred Hindu shrine in Nepal. Here you can witness cremation ritual of Hindus at ‘Aryaghat’ the cremation area. Next stop is Bhaktapur. Spread over an area of 6.88 sq km, 12 km South-East of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur showcases the splendor of the Golden Age of Nepali art & architecture. Built by King Anand Dev Malla in the 9th century, the city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site 1979. It has remained a model for heritage conservation since then. At the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, you will find many fine examples of sculpture, woodcarving & pagodas dedicated to different Gods & Goddesses – the Nyatapol & Dattaraya Temples, Golden Gate, Palace of 55 windows etc. As the evening approaches, you get ready to proceed to Nagarkot.

Day walk to Dhulikhel. Overnight at Dhulikhel

We wake up early in the morning to view nature at its best, as the most heavenly sight of Sunrise rejuvenates our senses. We spend your day amidst the natural surroundings of Nagarkot. After experiencing the magic of Nagarkot, we are guided along the hiking trails to Dhulikhel. As we approach, a plethora of cultural diversities, interesting traditional practices, lush vegetation & rich birdlife unfold before us.

Final departure

An Adventure Ascent representative will drop you off at the Tribhuwan International Airport a few hours before the scheduled flight for final departure towards your sweet home.
